it's been a while, hasn't it?

Don’t really have a good intro here, beyond saying “life happens.” Because life has, in fact, been happening at a relentless and unending pace. This past year has truly felt like a decade, and something had to give eventually.

That’s not to say I haven’t been shooting plenty of photos, but my relationship with how I want to share those photos has changed.

there’s no real rhyme or reason here, it’s just a tiny drop of some stuff from the past few months.

To keep things as short as possible: I haven’t wanted to post stuff online for a while. A feeling started to creep in, that the more I tried to post things on a schedule or “grow a personal brand” or whatever, the less it felt like I was making work for me. Like I was more worried about staying relevant or at the front of other people’s minds than about whether or not I was actually satisfied with the work.

I decided my already-low participation on social media networks wasn’t doing much for me, so I made the decision to bring it down to (almost) zero. Having a job that takes up a ton of time and brain power also made that decision easier to implement. So aside from posting something in a Discord server once every few days, or once every few weeks in some niche Facebook groups, my online presence is basically nonexistent. It’s pretty nice, if I’m being completely honest.

I might post here every so often. Sporadically, at best.
